"Over the past 24 hours, soldiers have launched a ground operation in central and southern Gaza to expand the security zone between the northern and southern parts," IDF spokesman Avichay Adraee wrote on X.

Hamas fires rockets at Israel – air raid sirens in Tel Aviv
Terrorist-labeled Hamas has fired several rockets at central Israel, several media outlets report.
Hamas says the attack is a response to recent Israeli attacks in Gaza, which they call a "massacre of civilians."
The rockets were aimed at Tel Aviv and air raid sirens were reportedly heard in the city. The Israeli military says it identified and shot down one of the rockets fired from Gaza. The other two are said to have fallen in open terrain.

IDF: We have launched a ground operation in Rafah
The Israeli military (IDF) stated in a post on X that its ground operation in Gaza has expanded to the border town of Rafah in recent hours.
The IDF launched what it called a "limited ground operation" in Gaza on Wednesday. According to the IDF, it is now underway in southern, central and northern Gaza.
In addition to the ground operation, the IDF writes that warplanes are "attacking and destroying terrorists and terrorist infrastructure throughout Gaza."
The current ground operation is the first since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was concluded at the beginning of the year.
