Raid on Elon Musk's French X office

French prosecutors have carried out a search of X's office in Paris as part of an ongoing preliminary investigation. This is reported by international media.

The investigation concerns, among other things, suspected distribution of child pornography, sexual deepfakes and manipulation of algorithms.

"At this stage, the investigation is based on a constructive approach with the aim of ensuring that the X platform complies with French law," the prosecutor's office writes.

The investigation was initiated after reports of biased algorithms and was later expanded to also include information that the AI ​​chatbot Grok denied the Holocaust and distributed sexual deepfakes.

Elon Musk has commented on the search of X's office in Paris by French prosecutors.

“This is a political attack,” he writes, suggesting in a separate post that French authorities should focus on sex offenders instead.

The Paris prosecutor announces that former X CEO Linda Yaccarino has also been summoned.
