Mette-Marit's Epstein contact

Organizations: Cards on the table from the royal house

Three Norwegian organizations that are under the patronage of Crown Princess Mette-Marit are demanding that the royal house lay its cards on the table regarding her contacts with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Norwegian media reports.

In a joint open letter, the organizations – Førdefestivalen, Hamsundagene and Nynorsk Kultursentrum – write that the new information is "serious and worrying".

Earlier on Wednesday, the Progress Party demanded that the government appoint an independent review of the contacts that people in high positions in culture, business and politics have had with Epstein, VG reports.

Epstein's advisor: You are "drooling over" Mette-Marit

"Who are you trying to fool? You are drooling over her", wrote an apparently close friend of Jeffrey Epstein in an email about Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit in September 2012.

The friend is Boris Nikolic, who was then an advisor to Bill Gates. It was also Nikolic who arranged the first contacts between Epstein and Mette-Marit, writes Norwegian TV2.

Mette-Marit was in New York during the email exchange and it was the evening after that the Crown Princess herself emailed Epstein and asked him to save her from a dinner because she was "dying of boredom".

The following morning, Mette-Marit suggested that Epstein should "come over for tea some day" so that he can "tickle" her "brain".

Mette-Marit has also written to Epstein that his emails make her "overwhelmed with emotions", reports TV2.

From previously reported email conversations between Mette-Marit and Epstein, it has become clear that she was then aware of his conviction for purchasing sex from a minor in 2008.
