Russian warship sails through English Channel
A Russian warship escorted two ships from the shadow fleet through the English Channel on Wednesday morning, The Telegraph reports, which saw the incident from a nearby boat.
The Russian Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate and the two oil tankers were followed by a British military ship, but no action was taken.
This despite Prime Minister Keir Starmer last month ordering the seizure of ships from the shadow fleet.
Russia is out to humiliate Britain, according to retired Major Andrew Fox.
– The Russians desperately need the oil to keep flowing and the war in Ukraine to continue. [...] If we are serious about helping Ukraine, we must strike at these shadow ships, he says.

Russia hands over 1,000 dead Ukrainian soldiers
Russia has handed over 1,000 dead Ukrainian soldiers, Reuters reports, citing the Ukrainian news agency RBC. In exchange, the Kremlin is said to have received 41 dead Russian soldiers from Kyiv.
The parties regularly exchange the remains of soldiers killed in battle – one of the few areas where they cooperate during the war that began with Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022 and has claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of soldiers.
