Maga fans abandon Trump: “Fucking terrorist”
They helped him to power.
But now the Maga profiles are turning their backs on Donald Trump.
– His lies will be exposed, says influencer Dan Bilzerian about the war in Iran.
During the election campaign, Donald Trump promised that he would end the US’s involvement in “eternal wars” in the Middle East.
The promise received great support from right-leaning influencers and podcasters who campaigned for Trump on social media, which has been pointed out as a decisive reason why he once again managed to secure the presidency.
But now they are distancing themselves from him.
Donald Trump's British ally Nigel Farage, leader of the right-wing populist Reform UK, believes that the American president has gone "far too far", reports The Independent.
After reading Trump's post in which he writes that "an entire civilization is going to die tonight", Farage says:
- I'm really shocked just to read that. It's beyond all limits in every way.
Former Fox profile Tucker Carlson has also turned.
He believes that the US decision to bomb Iran's power plants and bridges is the "first step towards nuclear war" and appeals to White House staff to refuse to obey orders if Trump decides to launch an atomic bomb.
– Those who have direct contact with the president have to say: “no, I’m resigning. I’m doing what I can legally do to stop this, because this is insane, and if you give the order, I’m not going to carry it out. Find out the codes yourself,” Carlson says, according to the New York Post.
The influential podcasters Joe Rogan and Theo Von, who both supported Trump in the 2024 election, have also swung after the Iran war started.
In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, they discuss the president’s U-turn regarding the war in the Middle East.
– I’m confused. I can’t believe we went into this war. When we started bombing Iran, I thought, “This can’t be true,” says Rogan.
He says that the United States claims that the goal is to stop the terrorists, to which Von interrupts:
– That’s completely crazy, you’re the fucking terrorists. If they want to stop them, stand in front of the mirror, says Von.
Scandalous influencer Dan Bilzerian, who recently announced that he is running for the House of Representatives in Florida, has long defended Donald Trump's "raw and unfiltered style".
But in a post on X, he now attacks the president:
"Trump is an extreme narcissist, he will bomb Iran with nukes because his ego can't handle him losing the war. His lies will be exposed. 25th Amendment," he writes, referring to the amendment used to remove the president.
