Peace Talks
Sources: Iran wants China to take care of the uranium
Iran wants guarantees from China to conclude a peace agreement with the US. Among other things, the Iranian regime wants the country's stockpile of highly enriched uranium to be transferred to China, according to sources to Al Arabiya.
The channel has seen a draft of the agreement that is now on the table. It states that the US and Iran will continue to negotiate over Iran's nuclear program "with the goal of reaching long-term agreements regarding nuclear technology, monitoring mechanisms and mutual commitments".
CBS News sources state that under the agreement, Iran will agree never to develop nuclear weapons and to move out its enriched uranium "according to a mechanism that both parties agree on", but this is not mentioned in the draft Al Arabiya has seen.
Trump: Uranium must be destroyed – no matter where it happens
Iran's enriched uranium must either be destroyed in the United States, on site in Iran or in a third country under the supervision of the "Atomic Energy Commission or its equivalent". This is what Donald Trump demands in a post on Truth Social.
The Atomic Energy Commission was an American regulatory authority for nuclear energy that existed between 1946 and 1974. Today, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission fulfills its function.
According to sources to Al Arabiya, Iran wants the uranium to be shipped to China. This has not been officially confirmed.

Iranian president orders internet to be opened
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued a directive to restore the country's access to international internet. This is stated by sources for state media, Reuters reports.
Most Iranians have been without the internet for 87 days after it was shut down in connection with the start of the Iran war.
The Internet was also shut down earlier in January in connection with widespread protests against the regime, but was later restored in early February.
Israel-Hezbollah
Israel: Will intensify attacks against Hezbollah
Israel attacked several Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including the Bekaa Valley in the eastern part of the country, on Monday. The attacks will be escalated in the future, says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu according to the AP.
This after Hezbollah in recent weeks fired fiber-optic drones against Israeli forces in southern Lebanon and northern Israel. Fiber-optic drones are controlled via a thin, several-kilometer-long fiber-optic cable on a reel, which protects against electronic interference. They are often used in the Ukraine war.
– What is needed now is to increase the attacks, increase the intensity. We will strike with the utmost determination, says Netanyahu.
Hezbollah also announced that it carried out eight attacks on Monday. Both sides have continued to attack each other frequently despite the current ceasefire.
