Iran has attacked an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, the United Arab Emirates' Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

The oil tanker belongs to the state-owned oil company ADNOC and the attack reportedly took place while the ship was passing through the strait, which is so important for world trade.

According to the Emirati Foreign Ministry, it was a missile attack. No one was reported to have died in the incident.

15 of ADNOC's ships have been attacked in Hormuz since the US started its war against Iran, "including three ships this week alone," the company said in a stat
