There is confusion in the White House.

While the stock market is going yo-yo, the White House has denied a 90-day tariff break.

"Fake news", they say according to CNBC.

After a shaky morning in Europe, the US stock market also crashed immediately at the opening.

But after almost an hour of trading, the stock market turned up. Now the numbers are oscillating up and down like a yo-yo.

At the same time, there is great confusion in the White House.

Rejected

CNBC previously reported that Trump is considering a 90-day tariff break.

According to the TV channel, it was Trump's advisor Kevin Hassett who said that the president had considered a tariff break for all countries except China.

But the information was later denied by the TV channel.

Got up to zero

In a live report, a reporter says that there is currently no information from the White House regarding a break but that they are now investigating the allegations.

A little later, the White House dismisses the information about a break as "fake news", according to CNBC.

The information about the tariff break caused the Stockholm Stock Exchange, among others, to recover significantly. Suddenly, it went from having been at its worst at below minus seven percent to around zero.

After the dementia, the stock markets turned sharply down.

The official White House account Rapid Response has shared a link to an interview with Kevin Hassett and written “wrong”, and that Donald Trump has been clear:

“Everything has to change, especially with China.”
