Tucker Carlson has become one of the most prominent right-wing figures to distance himself from Trump. The president recently called him "a low-IQ person" and "a broken man."

Court rules: Hungary's LGBT law violated EU law

The European Court of Justice has ruled that Hungary violated EU law when it introduced anti-LGBT laws in 2021, several media outlets report.

The law, which was primarily aimed at pedophiles, contained bans and restrictions on access to LGBT content, something that stigmatizes and marginalizes LGBT people, writes Reuters. Among other things, advertising that could "depict or promote" gender reassignment and homosexuality was banned.

The European Court of Justice believes that the ban violates EU law in several ways. Among other things, it constitutes a "particularly serious interference" with fundamental rights through discrimination. Above all, by linking LGBT people with sexual abuse of children.

The decision sends a clear signal to Hungary's next Prime Minister Péter Magyar to change the law, writes TT.
