Starmer grilled over Mandelson affair

Epstein-linked Peter Mandelson got the job as British ambassador to the US without an approved security clearance.

On Monday, Parliament will grill Prime Minister Keir Starmer over the affair.

Criticism of Starmer has grown since the scandal was revealed last week. Now there are calls for the Prime Minister to resign and he is accused, among other things, of having misled Parliament when he previously stated that procedures had been followed in Mandelson's appointment.

The Prime Minister himself has claimed that he was not informed that Mandelson's security clearance had not been approved.

Mandelson was fired when his close contacts with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were discovered last year.
