Mileis' chief of staff resigns after corruption scandal

Argentine chief of staff and President Javier Milei's confidant Manuel Adorni is resigning, Reuters reports. This comes after four months of corruption revelations and despite the president's tireless support, writes BA Herald.

"The media's operations have become extreme, not only against me but against my wife, my young children, my friends," he writes in his resignation letter on X.

He writes that all the accusations against him are false, even though after the revelations he declared assets of half a million dollars that he was caught withholding from taxes.

He has also been unable to show how he financed large expenses that, according to prosecutors, do not correspond to his declared income, writes Infobae. The preliminary investigation continues.

Helicopter crashes in Saudi Arabia – 14 dead

Early Sunday morning, 14 people died when a helicopter crashed near the Saudi Arabian coastal city of Ras Tanura, writes TT. The city is home to the country's largest oil port and the helicopter is said to have belonged to the state oil company Aramco, according to TT.

Thousands of mopeds buzz around Rome – The Vespa turns 80

“Nobody ever says anything bad about a Vespa, you know. It’s crazy,” says Burke Sandman, who owns 15 Vespas and has traveled to the Vespa Festival in Rome from the United States.

Eleven dead after plane crash in France

Eleven people have died after a small plane crashed in Tomblaine in northeastern France on Sunday morning, reports the television and radio channel BFM. According to BFM, these are the pilot and ten passengers.
