Polish profile wants to defuse the conflict with Ukraine
After
the latest row between Ukraine and Poland, which began with President
Volodymyr Zelenskyj naming a Ukrainian unit after the Ukrainian
Insurgent Army (UPA), Polish business profile Wojciech Kostrzewa is now
trying to defuse the diplomatic tensions, AFP reports.
Kostrzewa, who represents some of Poland's largest companies, is urging both countries to bury the hatchet.
- It's about building the future, not getting stuck in the past, Kostrzewa told AFP.
Kostrzewa
and several other business leaders have signed a petition urging both
sides to focus on economic cooperation and not jeopardize the close ties
between the countries.

Estonian foreign minister: Drones on NATO soil are a price worth paying
Ukrainian
drones crashing on NATO territory are a price worth paying to be able
to strike Russian oil refineries and military bases, Estonian foreign
minister Margus Tsahkna told the Financial Times.
“Of course we
are not happy about these incidents. But we are not telling Ukraine to
stop. This is hitting Vladimir Putin’s lifeline,” he said.
Ukraine
has stepped up its drone and missile attacks on Russia over the past
year. Russia has responded by intensifying electronic jamming and other
countermeasures, which has led to some Ukrainian drones going off course
and crashing on NATO territory.
