Putin's yacht cruises in Kattegat – after three years under the radar
An
unusual convoy of three Russian ships is traveling through Kattegat
between Denmark and Sweden on Monday, DR reports. One of the ships is
the superyacht Graceful, which has previously been described in
international media as President Vladimir Putin's private yacht.
At
midnight, the convoy passed the Great Belt in Danish territorial
waters. With the current course and speed, the ship is expected to pass
Skagen at 2 p.m.
Graceful has had its AIS transmitter turned off
since August 30, 2022, shortly after Russia's full-scale invasion of
Ukraine. Since then, the ship has been invisible in open ship tracking,
but has been observed near St. Petersburg in the Baltic Sea.
The
Danish Navy and the German Coast Guard have been taking turns following
the convoy since Sunday morning. There is no information about its final
destination.
After the threat to Putin - now the veteran is sentenced
Russian
war veteran and blogger Alexandr Lunin threatened to rebel against
Vladimir Putin and the Russian state, citing the conditions at the front
in Ukraine. He has now been arrested and sentenced, AFP reports.
The 39-year-old Lunin voluntarily participated in the full-scale invasion of Ukraine and served intermittently at the front.
Last
week, he posted a video on social media in which he demanded a meeting
with Putin due to reports that Russian soldiers were being mistreated
and tortured at the front.
- If I am not allowed to come to Moscow and speak directly to you, the army will turn its weapons on the Kremlin, he said.
A
district court in the Voronezh region sentenced Lunin on Saturday to an
"administrative offense" for displaying "extremist" symbols, according
to a post on the court's website published on Monday.
Russian war blogger downplays threats against Putin
Russian
war veteran and blogger Alexandr Lunin's threat of a military mutiny
against Vladimir Putin received millions of views in a few days. Now he
claims that the message has been distorted, writes DN.
In a new
clip, Lunin swears and spits and says that his "message was
misinterpreted by idiots." An armed mutiny should not have been
announced in advance, he says.
According to Radio Free Europe,
the clip is an attempt to save the situation without backing down from
criticism of conditions at the front and the treatment of Russian
soldiers. At the same time, Lunin's wife says that police searched the
couple's home and seized computers.
