Trump's USA Reactions to the 2020 US election

Trump to address the nation – expected to be about election fraud

At 3 a.m. Friday night – Swedish time – US President Donald Trump will give a televised address to the nation, several media outlets report.

According to the AP news agency, Trump has not said more about what the speech will be about, other than that it will focus on "free and fair elections".

- It's really, really big news and our country needs to get tough. That's what we're going to talk about, Trump said on Tuesday.

Several media outlets report that Trump will probably make new claims about election fraud during the 2020 presidential election, ahead of the US midterm elections to be held this fall.

Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden and has so far never managed to present any evidence of election fraud, writes USA Today.

Trump candidate refused to say who won the 2020 election

Jay Clayton was pressed hard when he was questioned in the US Senate on Wednesday, CNN reports. Clayton has been nominated by President Donald Trump to the position of Director of National Intelligence.

Clayton was asked, among other things, who won the 2020 US presidential election. Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that Joe Biden actually lost the election, without ever presenting any evidence of election fraud.

However, Clayton did not want to answer yes or no to the question, but replied that Joe Biden was "approved" for president.

- Isn't it humiliating not to be able to answer this question and to have to fully embrace the president's delusions? Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff said to Clayton.

Former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard left the post at the end of June.
