Netanyahu wants to meet Trump in the US – unclear if it will happen

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to Washington on Saturday to attend the funeral of US Senator Lindsey Graham, reports the news site Ynet.

According to the Times of Israel, however, no meeting with US President Donald Trump has been scheduled during Netanyahu's visit. A senior Israeli official told Reuters that Netanyahu would like to meet his American counterpart, but that it is unclear whether it will happen.

Israeli soldier sent videos to Iranian agent

An Israeli soldier has been sentenced to five years in prison for sending several videos to an Iranian agent, reports the AFP news agency.

Two of the videos allegedly showed how the missiles were shot down, while several others showed how the missiles hit various locations in Israel, writes The Jerusalem Post.

The soldier was contacted by the Iranian agent via Telegram, who said that he could earn money by doing “photography-related assignments”. After sending several videos, the soldier chose to tell what had happened himself, which led to his arrest.

In addition to the prison sentence, the sentence also means that the man will be demoted to private.
