Finland and Ukraine agree on "drone deal"
Finland and Ukraine have concluded a new defense agreement, which Finnish President Alexander Stubb calls a "drone deal."
The agreement entails, among other things, that the countries will cooperate on drone manufacturing to make the process cheaper and more efficient. The nations will also share technology and expertise with one another.
According to Yle, Stubb stated that cooperation between the countries has reached "a new level" and that Ukraine needs all the help it can get in the war against Russia.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on X: "We are always ready to share with our closest friends what has helped us save lives."
In his speech to the General Assembly, Zelenskyy said he is seeking similar partnerships with other partners, citing Canada as an example. Shortly thereafter, he also announced a security agreement with Australia.
