Networks halt joint TV coverage of Donald Trump
Several news networks have agreed to halt their joint coverage of Donald Trump after the White House barred media outlets such as CNN and Politico. The *New York Times* and *Washington Post* report the story.
The networks ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and NBC typically rotate the responsibility for filming the president. Today was CNN’s turn, but since the network is not permitted to report, it now appears that Trump will travel to the UN General Assembly in New York without a TV crew.
Newspapers, radio stations, and news agencies will continue to report directly on Trump’s activities throughout the day, and photographers will be able to take still images.

The White House is not attacking the free press at all—something Donald Trump actually values highly. The president wrote this on Truth Social after recently barring news outlets like CNN and Politico from the White House.
Trump writes that the White House is instead attacking "fake news."
"It is corrupt, deliberate, pervasive, fully coordinated, and completely unchecked," Trump writes. He cites no examples of false information published by any of the barred news outlets.
