Diplomats walked out during Netanyahu’s speech: "Cowards"

Dozens of diplomats walked out of the hall in protest during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the UN General Assembly, according to multiple media reports.

"If there are any other cowards who haven't left the hall, please do so now," Netanyahu said at the start of his speech.

He went on to say that the decision to attack Iran was "one of the easiest he had ever made." Had Israel and the US not attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities, "we would all be dead," he said.

The claim that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza is "the lie of the century," and anyone making that claim should "be ashamed," Netanyahu said. He addressed, among others, New York politician Zohran Mamdani.

"You cannot silence me," he said, claiming that many Jews no longer feel safe in New York since he was elected.

Abbas at the UN: Israel threatens our lives and existence

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas delivered a video address to the UN General Assembly on Thursday. Among other things, he stated that Israel threatens the existence of the Palestinian people, according to several media outlets.

"The danger is no longer limited to undermining the two-state solution and a Palestinian state. Now, the very lives and existence of the Palestinian people in their homeland are under threat," he said.

He also sharply criticized the US, noting that for the second consecutive year, the Palestinian Authority had been denied US visas to attend the General Assembly in person.

Furthermore, Abbas said that the Trump administration's peace plan had so far made no difference for the residents of Gaza.

Zelenskyy: "I'll come to Moscow on a rocket"

During his UN visit to New York, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was surrounded by Russian reporters shouting questions about when he intends to visit Moscow, the Kyiv Post reports.

Eventually, the president lost patience with them.

"On a rocket, for fuck's sake," he replied.

Both Zelenskyy and Putin have repeatedly challenged each other to visit Kyiv and Moscow, respectively, but there have never been any signs that this would actually happen. 

Mamdani’s response: Netanyahu wants to whitewash the genocide

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used his UN speech to "repeat baseless lies aimed at whitewashing his genocide against the Palestinians." This is according to New York City Council Member Zohran Mamdani, as reported by Sky News.

"But no lies change the fact that the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for him for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity," he continues.

Netanyahu attacked Mamdani during his speech. Among other things, he called him an antisemite and claimed that many Jews in New York no longer feel safe since he was elected.
