Secret country seeks advisor in Brussels

The upside: There is a job available as a trade advisor in Brussels.

The downside: The country you would be working for is a secret.

The new job advertisement is sparking both amusement and curiosity in Brussels.

The trade advisor being sought is expected to, among other things, "monitor, analyze, and assess the impact of EU regulations and trade policy." The catch is that the employer is identified only as "a diplomatic mission"—without specifying the country itself.

The recruitment firm is also unwilling—or unable—to reveal any details.

"Unfortunately, I cannot disclose which government or mission is behind this," reads the response to an inquiry forwarded to the news site Politico Europe.

Anyone willing—and brave enough—to submit their details to the secret country has until October 15 to do so.
