Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Elon Musk have during the year met and interacted several times and formed an unexpected and informal transatlantic alliance, writes WSJ.
Their common interests are AI regulation, demography and the fight against political correctness. Musk can help Meloni build her credibility in the tech sector as she has made AI development one of her heart issues for upcoming G7 meetings.
For Musk, Meloni could serve as an ally within the EU, at a time when issues of AI regulation and social media content are high on the agenda.

AI model is said to be able to predict people's lives
A number of researchers at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) have developed an AI-based system that is said to be able to predict people's lives. Feber reports.
The AI model is called "Life2vec" and has been trained on data from around six million Danish citizens. The data set that forms the basis of the predictions includes information about jobs, income, social benefits and a host of other parameters.
Among other things, the researchers claim to be able to predict people's personality and lifespan.
The AI model is unlikely to be made publicly available. Partly because there are certain ethical concerns, partly because the AI model has not been trained on publicly available data. The hope, however, is that the AI model can be used as a basis for further research, writes Feber.
