All campaigns are investigated in the Indonesian election
All three presidential campaigns in Indonesia's election have been accused of irregularities and have been investigated by the country's election authority, according to the Jakarta Post. In several cases it is entitled to official reprimands.
The accusations relate to, among other things, that the vice-presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka behaved "undisciplined" during a televised debate and campaigned during a car-free day, something that is prohibited in the country. Together with the presidential candidate and current defense minister Prabowo Subianto, he leads widely in opinion polls.
Challengers Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan have in turn been accused of starting their campaigns too early.
