India and China to buy Russian oil in bulk
Nearly two years after the West imposed heavy sanctions, Russia has managed to redirect most of its oil exports to China and India. This is what Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak says in a televised speech according to AFP.
Before the invasion of Ukraine, between 40-45 percent of Russian oil was sent to Europe. This year, the share is expected to be at most 5 percent of total exports, Novak states.
According to reports, India - which before the invasion hardly imported any Russian oil - has started buying up crude oil to refine it and sell it on to Europe. A move which, according to AFP, is not illegal but could undermine the sanctions.

Tories want to scrap inheritance tax entirely as Sunak changes focus
Britain's Tory Party is considering scrapping the controversial and disliked inheritance tax entirely within three months. This is to strengthen the opinion surrounding Prime Minister Rishi Sunak before the election, The Telegraph reports.
Earlier it was rumored that the party wanted to halve the tax to 20 percent in its autumn budget, but no such announcement was made.
According to the newspaper, Sunak has stated that he wants to "shift up" the tax cuts after the minister's focus shifted from fighting inflation to growth.
