Polish military: Russian rocket flew into our territory
A Russian rocket flew into Poland from Ukraine earlier on Friday, the Polish army said. According to General Maciej Klisz, the object flew 40 kilometers into Polish territory before turning towards Ukraine, several news agencies report.
- The object spent less than three minutes on Polish territory, says Klisz.
Earlier on Friday, soldiers were reported to have been mobilized to locate and identify the object that disappeared from radar shortly after crossing the border. According to the Polish television channel TV Republika, the search operation was underway near Hrubieszow in southern Poland.
In the past, robots from both Ukraine and Russia have struck in Poland. During the night to Friday, Russia is said to have sent over 150 drones and robots against targets in Ukraine - one of the biggest attacks since the full-scale invasion began.

Experts: Defensive strategy risks becoming dangerous
A shift in Ukrainian strategy – from counteroffensive to more defensive positions – risks becoming a dangerous path to follow. This is what several Swedish military experts say to SvD after the information about a new defense strategy.
According to sources to Politico, the purpose of the shift is to strengthen Ukraine's position before a possible peace negotiation with Russia. But such a move would likely mean that Ukraine would have to give up parts of its territory and would also risk leading to a "frozen conflict" that could flare up again in a few years, according to Jörgen Elfving, former lieutenant colonel.
- It would give the signal that Russia's policy is successful and that you can turn your attention to the Baltics.
In addition, Russia is an "unreliable negotiator who breaks agreements", says Jan Hallenberg, at the Foreign Policy Institute.
