Baby rescued from riots after airstrikes in Rafah
Rescue workers in southern Gaza screamed when they found a baby deep in the rubble after an Israeli airstrike in Rafah on Friday, Reuters reports. The girl's skin was gray with dust but she made small noises as she was lifted up and taken to hospital.
According to the Hamas-run Palestinian Health Authority, at least 20 people died in the raid on Rafah. Among them were the girl's mother and older sister. Her family was one of many who had crammed into the apartment building, fleeing their hometown near Gaza's border with Israel.
