Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States

How old will Trump be? Scientists give their prediction

How long will Donald Trump live? That is the question asked by Slate magazine in connection with the president's 80th birthday celebration.

He has already surpassed the average life expectancy for American men by just over three years. And American men who are 80 years old today will live on average until they are almost 89, the newspaper writes.

Demographer Magali Barbieri at the Human Mortality Database, however, gives Trump a few more years and refers to his economic and medical profile. She emphasizes that wealth and longevity are linked, and that Trump's lifestyle without alcohol and tobacco speaks for a longer life.

At the same time, researcher Jennifer Dowd at the University of Oxford points out that biological factors make longevity unpredictable even for wealthy people.

Singing and a new UFC champion at Trump's 80th birthday celebration

The sight in front of the White House on Sunday night was something unprecedented in American history. On the lawn, many thousands of people had gathered to watch the Freedom 250 martial arts gala, the main event of Donald Trump's 80th birthday celebration, and tens of thousands more stood in front of free screens outside the stadium. Several media outlets report this.

The president himself sat ringside surrounded by his entire family and UFC boss Dana White. According to CNN, Trump was fully focused on the ring and applauded at times. After the third fight, the audience sang “Happy Birthday” to Donald Trump.

The gala, which received its fair share of criticism from Democrats and activists, also offered sporting surprises. Among other things, Justin Gaethje shocked the audience by beating Ilia Topuria and becoming the new UFC champion, writes Reuters. Shortly after the victory, he shook hands with the president.

“This is beyond anything anyone has seen in sports,” Trump summed up the match.
