FBI chief: Stopped plans to attack Trump's celebration

Russian fighter jets headed for Stockholm and Karlskrona
Two Russian fighter jets headed for the Stockholm archipelago and Karlskrona on Friday and turned back just a few hundred meters from Sweden's territorial border. This is what the Swedish Armed Forces' Chief of Operations Ewa Skoog Haslum told SVT Nyheter.
The two Russian flights were made just a few minutes apart. In both cases, the Air Force's incident preparedness responded by sending up Gripen planes that also read out warnings to the Russian pilots. According to the defense, there is much to suggest that Russia is trying to test Sweden's preparedness capabilities.
- The fact that this is being done so spectacularly by the Russian side is remarkable and serious, says Skoog Haslum.

South Korea's Starbucks to close - employees given lecture
On Monday, June 22, all Starbucks cafes in South Korea will be closed for half a day. Instead, employees will attend a mandatory lecture on the country's history, reports AP, among others.
The decision is based on the extensive criticism the company received after a campaign earlier this spring, which was perceived as a mockery of the victims of the 1980 Gwangju massacre. The coffee chain offered discounts on thermoses on May 18, the anniversary of the massacre, when then-President Chun Doo-hwan's regime violently suppressed popular protests.
The company is estimated to lose the equivalent of $1.4 billion in revenue during the closure, writes The Guardian.
Putin-Critical Artist Shot Dead in Poland
Russian artist Semyon Skrepetsky, who is critical of Putin, has been shot dead in Poland, international media reports. The murder took place in a parking lot in the small town of Biala Podlaska on Monday.
The 44-year-old was first shot twice from a distance.
“When the victim fell to the ground, the perpetrator approached and fired three more shots and then quickly fled the scene,” said prosecutor Marcin Kozak.
Skrepetsky, whose real name was Robert Kuzovov, participated in an installation in Berlin just three days before the murder. He displayed one of his most famous works, which depicts a caricature of Joseph Stalin holding Vladimir Putin like the baby Jesus.
Two Belarusian citizens have been arrested but have not yet been formally charged with a crime.
