Netanyahu to run in Israel's next election

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday that he will run in the next parliamentary elections in Israel, which will be held later this year.

- I will run in the next elections and I intend to win, Netanyahu said at a televised press conference on Monday.

Netanyahu is the politician who has been prime minister for the longest time in Israel. He is also on trial in Israel for corruption crimes.

The announcement came in connection with the US and Iran agreeing on a way forward in peace negotiations.
