Trump Defends Agreement: “Didn’t Want to See Economic Disaster”
Donald Trump defends the agreement with Iran, which has been called a “complete capitulation” for the US, in a speech during the closing of the G7 meeting.
– What I didn’t want to see was an economic disaster. If we had continued with this, it could have happened, says Trump.
He also says that he thinks that “you can talk about regime change” in Iran.
During the day, Trump has also said that the agreement is “very strong” and he has also threatened to resume attacks on Iran if he is not satisfied with how it is being followed.
Source: Both the US and Iran can still withdraw
Both the US and Iran can still withdraw from the agreement that is expected to be signed on Friday. This is what a high-ranking American source tells several international media. The source presented the 14 points that make up the agreement that will be formally signed in Switzerland on Wednesday evening.
– I believe that the meeting in Switzerland will be very important to really see how we move on to the next phase, says the source.
The 14 points that are now being presented largely agree with the 14-point plan that several media outlets wrote about earlier on Wednesday.

Israel approves new settlement in Palestinian city
Israel approves an expansion of a Jewish school for settlers in the Palestinian city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. Palestinians criticize the decision, saying it violates an agreement from 1997.
The approval concerns a 1,000-square-meter school building in Hebron's historic center.
“We continue to build to realize practical sovereignty in the settlements,” says Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who has previously said he wants to “bury” the idea of a Palestinian state.
On Tuesday, Israel took control of the administration of a holy site in Hebron, which was immediately condemned by the Palestinian Authority.
