Trump on Netanyahu: “You can be a little softer, Bibi”

Donald Trump made several snide remarks to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a press conference on Wednesday, Politico reports.

– We disagree on Lebanon. I tell him: “You can be a little softer, Bibi. You don’t have to blow up a building every time someone from Hezbollah walks into it,” Trump said.

The move came after Israel’s continued attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon – despite the new agreement between Iran and the US explicitly stating that the ceasefire will also apply there.

The Israeli army announced on Wednesday evening that an Israeli soldier was killed in combat in southern Lebanon during the day. More than 3,800 people have been killed in Lebanon since the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah began in early March, Lebanese authorities said, according to the BBC.

IDF: Soldier killed after fighting in Lebanon

An Israeli soldier was reportedly killed after fighting broke out in southern Lebanon on Wednesday. The Israeli military (IDF) wrote on Telegram. Seven more were also injured.

“The injured soldiers were evacuated to hospital for medical treatment, and their families have been notified.”

On Wednesday evening, the US and Iran reportedly signed a peace agreement. One of the points in the agreement is to end the war on all fronts for both countries and their allies, which includes Lebanon.

Israeli Foreign Minister Breaks Ties with EU Foreign Affairs Chief

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar is breaking all contact with EU Foreign Affairs Chief Kaja Kallas, he wrote on X.

Saar accuses Kallas of comparing Israel's treatment of Palestinians to the apartheid era in South Africa during a private meeting. According to TT, it is difficult to verify whether the statement is true.

“I have no choice but to break off all contact with Kallas until she withdraws the blood accusation she directed against the world's only Jewish state,” Saar writes on X.
