Warns of full-scale war again if Beirut is attacked

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warns that an attack on the Lebanese capital Beirut could lead to full-scale war, reports AFP.

– Any attack on Beirut will have serious consequences and lead to the resumption of the war on a full scale. Iran's armed forces are ready to strike Israel if it attacks Beirut, says Araghchi.

Israel's continued offensive in Lebanon has led to the ongoing talks between the United States and Iran being put on hold, as Iran demands that Lebanon be included in a peace agreement.

The US Congress has voted to limit Donald Trump's war powers in Iran, several media outlets report.

The resolution effectively means a halt to US attacks on Iran, writes AP.

The vote ended 215–208 in the House of Representatives, after several Republicans sided with the Democrats in the vote.
