Fujimori sworn in after close presidential election

Keiko Fujimori has been sworn in as president of Peru.

A month ago, she was declared the winner of what was a very close presidential election in the country.

After running three times before and failing, Fujimori narrowly won the presidential election in June on her fourth attempt.

The right-wing populist and her party have been accused of dividing and polarizing the political conversation in Peru.

Fujimori is the daughter of Peru's former president Alberto Fujimori - convicted of human rights violations and corruption.
