New US attacks on Iran

After a few days of pause, the US has carried out new attacks on targets in Iran.

Among other things, command centers have been attacked, the US military command Centcom said on X.

"The attacks are a powerful response to yesterday's attempted Iranian attacks on US forces stationed in the Middle East," Centcom wrote.

President Donald Trump has threatened to "strike hard" against Iran after attacks on US targets in Jordan.

Jordan's military said in a statement that its air defenses had shot down five missiles from Iran.

During the night, explosions were heard in several places in Iran, including in the cities of Abadan, Bandar Abbas, Bushehr and on the island of Qeshm. Three members of the same family have been killed in Qeshm, according to the Iranian state news agency Fars.

At least two people have been injured in the attacks, Al Jazeera reports, citing Iranian regime-linked media.

Centcom states that the attacks targeted military targets belonging to the Revolutionary Guard.

Earlier in July, the US carried out attacks on Iran for 13 consecutive nights.
