Peru has a new president - begins the first big battle

Conservative politician Keiko Fujimori has been sworn in as the new president of Peru. The 42-year-old ran for office on the promise of defeating crime in the Latin American country, and on her first day in office she is asking Congress to approve some of the measures the government wants to take.

She wants to deploy soldiers in areas with extensive drug trafficking, writes AFP.
