Trump disappointed with Iran: “They are lying”
Donald Trump says he has begun to despair about the negotiations with Iran, reports the Spanish news agency EFE
“I am losing hope in them because they are lying,” the president said during a meeting with journalists at Camp David.
The fragile negotiations to reach a peace agreement between the US and Iran are still ongoing. At the same time, unrest continues around the Strait of Hormuz.
Donald Trump says the US has respected the negotiation process and refrained from attacking Iran during the week. But he accuses Iran of firing missiles at US targets in the region and claims that Iranian officials are lying about their promises.
According to the president, US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are still involved in the negotiations.
