Telegram founder wanted – accused of terrorism
Russia has issued an international wanted list for the messaging service Telegram's CEO and co-founder Pavel Durov.
He is accused of terrorism, the FSB security service says.
Durov is accused of aiding and abetting terrorist activities because Telegram has not removed certain channels that are said to be used for coordinating terror and sabotage in Russia, reports the Russian Interfax.
According to the FSB, the channels are used by "Ukrainian security services, terrorist and extremist organizations to prepare and coordinate acts of sabotage and terrorism, mass murder and cyber fraud," the news agency writes.
Telegram has previously been fined by Russia for not removing certain content that is banned in the country.
