Netanyahu meets Trump during US visit

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is traveling to the White House on Tuesday to attend the funeral of Republican Congressman Lindsey Graham.

“As part of the visit, the Prime Minister will meet with President (Donald) Trump at the White House on Tuesday and attend the funeral service for Senator Lindsey Graham, a friend of Israel,” Netanyahu’s office said.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham died after a sudden illness on July 12.

Netanyahu’s meeting with Trump comes after a period of heightened tensions between the United States and Israel.
