Four fallen soldiers disappeared from the Pentagon's list of fallen in the Iran war.

The names are now on a new list of fallen Americans "overseas".

The names of the most recent US soldiers killed in Jordan and Iraq disappeared from the Pentagon's website on Tuesday. They had been included in the list of fallen in the US operation against Iran "Epic Fury" - a total of 18 dead and 482 injured, reports CNN.

The US Pentagon claimed that a technical error was behind the change.

On Sunday, the new list "Overseas Operations" had been drawn up, on which the four most recent fallen are now registered, including 207 injured.

The original list has been revised down to 14 dead and 417 injured. Looking at both lists, the number of injured has risen to 624.

The Pentagon has not commented on the adjustment, writes the AP.
