At least five dead in Israeli attacks on Gaza
Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip claimed at least five lives on Friday, according to Palestinian authorities.
The attacks targeted the town of al-Qarara, east of Khan Yunis, and Gaza City.
The Gaza Civil Defense Authority, which is under the terrorist group Hamas, and representatives of Nasser Hospital, said the three killed in al-Qarara belonged to the same family. The Israeli military said it was verifying the information.
In the attack near Gaza City, two people were killed in a drone strike, according to the Gaza Civil Authority.
The latest Israeli attacks were carried out despite the US-brokered ceasefire, which began in October, still formally in effect. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that terrorist threats from Hamas must be stopped.
