Lukashenko: Putin and I joke about Ukraine
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko emphasizes the close ties with Russia and Vladimir Putin regarding the issue of Ukraine.
"Ultimately, we are 'co-aggressors' with him (Putin)," Lukashenko says in a speech.
The Belarusian leader firmly maintains that the country remains an unconditional ally of Russia in its invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, he says that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin often joke about which of them is the greater aggressor, reports The Kyiv Post.
"We have a question we sometimes discuss jokingly: who is more of an 'aggressor' – me or him?" Lukashenko says in a speech during a meeting of the Russian-dominated Eurasian Economic Union, according to the state-controlled Belarusian news agency Belta.
