Reports: Press Secretary Failed the Bar Exam

The White House’s new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, failed the bar exam in 2011 and is therefore not a lawyer, despite presenting herself as one. This is according to information from The Wall Street Journal.

Zacharia’s appointment to the position has drawn sharp criticism from several quarters. Her professional background, in particular, has been called into question. She claims to be a lawyer, yet no evidence to support this has been found. When journalists asked her when she became a lawyer, she gave a brief reply: “When I moved to China.”

The Wall Street Journal now reports that while Zacharia did complete a law degree, she failed the examination required to become a licensed attorney.

Following the failed exam, Zacharia moved to China and worked in the legal field. However, employees in the company’s international division were not required to hold a legal license in China, as they were formally classified as international legal consultants.

Admits: Never Passed the Bar Exam

The White House’s new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, admits that she never passed the bar exam. She made the admission during an interview with the pro-Trump television channel Real America’s Voice, reports CBS News.

Zacharia explains that she took the exam in California in 2011. She later moved to China, where a license was not required.

She maintains that she has never referred to herself as a lawyer. On her Instagram profile, she describes herself as "Wife, mother and lawyer".
