The drone attacks on Moscow have intensified. In recent weeks, over ten drones have been shot down and blown up.  

Putin has previously commented on the attacks on the capital and called them terrorist attacks.  

- I woke up to a loud bang, the whole house shook, says Anna, 23, to Aftonbladet.

Last week, Russia's air defense system shot down two drones near Moscow at three in the morning. Anna, 23, was sleeping when one of the drones exploded just two kilometers from her home. She woke up to the explosion. 

 - I was scared, thought the roof would collapse. I was lying there thinking about where the shelters are, says Anna, to Aftonbladet.

She had heart palpitations but despite this managed to fall back asleep. Anna says that she had hoped that it wouldn't be a drone attack, but when she woke up, it turned out that it was exactly what had happened.  

There have been several such in Moscow and nearby cities in recent weeks. Several airports have had to be temporarily closed. In the area where Anna lives, at least two drones have been shot down. Unfortunately, she does not believe that this is the last time the area will be hit by explosions. 

- We just have to wait for the next explosion, says Anna.  

Anna is a young girl who works as a teacher at a summer camp for children. She says that when the first attacks came, people were very worried about their safety. But now this too has become a new everyday life for her and her students.  

 

Among other things, there was an explosion in a building in central Moscow the other week.  

"The New Normal"  

A week ago, a building in Moscow's international business center was also hit by a drone. The area is located in the central parts of the capital and the area consists of tall skyscrapers with offices and luxury residences.  

- I don't think the goal was to destroy the skyscraper. Rather, it had a symbolic meaning. They wanted to show that the war has come to Russia, says Michail, who works in the area.  

The drone attack happened at night when the office was empty. 25-year-old Michail and his colleagues therefore had to work from home for over a week when the entire area was cordoned off. The incident affected Michail a lot and he and his colleagues were afraid that it might happen again.

Now Michail is back in the office.  

- I was bored at home and this is the new normal now.
