Reuters reported this evening that a court in the state of Georgia is about to indict Donald Trump.
But according to the local prosecutor, that is not true.
A Georgia court has reportedly published a document showing new charges against Donald Trump.
This time on a number of points – including for preparation for counterfeiting, reports Reuters.
The charges are said to have been linked to Trump's attempt to manipulate the 2020 election results.
Denies that charges have been brought
According to Reuters, a document containing the criminal charges was posted on the court's website - but was quickly taken down. The document must have been dated August 14.
After the news agency's publication, the court has denied that charges have been brought.
"Reuters reporting that charges have been brought is incorrect. Beyond that, we cannot comment," a local prosecutor said in a statement.
