Pictures of "beach houses" in Gaza spread: "A joke"
Illustrations of what are alleged to be planned beach houses in Gaza created by an Israeli construction company cause great outrage when they are spread on social media, SVT reports.
- Many Palestinians have taken this sketch very seriously, in the midst of a burning war in which thousands of Palestinians have been killed, injured and driven from their homes, says the channel's Middle East correspondent Samir Abu Eid.
The pictures, which were accompanied by the text "a beach house in Gaza is not a dream!" was published by the company Harey Zahav, which also builds housing in the occupied West Bank. The company's spokesperson tells Haaretz that the image should be seen as "a joke".
According to the Israeli government, there are no plans for new settlements in Gaza.

Diseases spread in Gaza - four out of ten children malnourished
Lack of water, lack of electricity and densely populated refugee camps have created a catastrophic health situation in the Gaza Strip, Gaza-based doctor Adnan al-Wahidi told the Israeli site +972.
Tens of thousands of families have gathered in tent camps that often lack sufficient access to clean water and clean toilets, causing diseases to spread rapidly. The situation is made worse by the fact that vaccination programs for children have been paused due to the war.
al-Wahidi also estimates that four out of ten children in Gaza suffer from malnutrition.

Houthi rebels threaten to attack US-led navy
The Houthi rebels are threatening to respond to any shelling from the US-led fleet that is supposed to protect the cargo ships in the Red Sea, WSJ and Bloomberg report.
The Pentagon has not confirmed that it intends to attack Huthi targets in Yemen, but several security analysts assess that simply escorting the cargo ships will not be enough.
- We are not the ones who passively watch while the enemy fires at us, says paramilitary leader Abdulmalik Al Houthi to the WSJ.
