Pedophile surgeon admits: “I have done disgusting things”

The 73-year-old surgeon Joel Le Scouarnec, who is suspected of having molested or raped 299 children, admitted his guilt during the first day of his trial in Vannes in northwestern France.

“I have done disgusting things,” Le Scouarnec told the court, according to AFP.

Le Scouarnec is said to have documented his crimes and in previous notes described himself as “deeply perverted” and a “pedophile.”

“And I am very happy about it,” the surgeon wrote, according to AFP.

Mathis was ten years old when he vomited, and his father and grandfather took him to the hospital where he stayed overnight

The boy never told what happened in the hospital, but afterwards he was changed, his grandfather Roland Vinet tells AFP.

– He showered all the time, says Vinet.

Mathis is one of the 299 suspected victims in the huge pedophile scandal against surgeon Joel Le Scouarnec.

But he will not come to the trial that began on Monday. As Mathis got older, he started drinking and taking drugs, and died at just 24 years old of an overdose.

Mathis' grandmother Mauricette plans to go to the trial, she tells AFP.

– I want to see him and scream out the hatred I have for what he did to Mathis.
