Iran does not want to negotiate with the US over its nuclear program
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is not interested in any direct negotiations with the US over its nuclear program, Bloomberg reports.
The announcement comes shortly after Washington announced new sanctions against Tehran. President Donald Trump has long been clear that he wants to put pressure on Iran's economy and target the country's oil exports.
- We will not negotiate under pressure, sanctions or threats, Araghchi said during a press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday.

New cable break in Taiwan - Chinese ship seized
An underwater telecommunications cable has been damaged off Taiwan, the country's coast guard says. A ship with a Chinese crew has been seized and taken to Taiwan, AFP reports.
"Whether the cause of the cable break was deliberate sabotage or an accident remains to be clarified through further investigations," a statement said.
This is not the first time a cable break has occurred around Taiwan. China has previously been blamed for several cable breaks around the island.

The Syrian War New Government
The Kurds are critical: “We will not be part of this”
The Kurdish administration in northeastern Syria was not allowed to attend today’s national dialogue conference and now states that they do not support the conclusions.
“It did not represent us and we will not be part of implementing the results,” a statement quoted by AFP said.
Syria’s interim president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, stated ahead of the conference that militias should be disarmed and that a state monopoly on violence should be established.
The Kurdish administration is linked to the SDF militia, which has long been backed by the United States, and was therefore not allowed to attend the conference.
al-Sharaa’s rebel groups are allied with Turkey, which has been trying to limit the SDF’s influence for several years, writes the New York Times.
