“Gaza War Spilling Over to West Bank”
Israeli troops are turning the occupied West Bank into a battlefield. They have killed more than 50 people, including children, since the operation in the area began on January 21, the head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees said in a statement on Wednesday.
“The Gaza war is spilling over to the West Bank,” writes Philippe Lazzarini, citing destroyed infrastructure, 40,000 Palestinians displaced, and even more restricted freedom of movement than before for those who remain.
Around 5,000 children attending UNRWA schools have been left without education since the beginning of the year, and patients are being prevented from seeking medical care, according to Lazzarini.
The Israeli operation is aimed at targeting terrorists, according to Israel.

The video, published on Wednesday, shows images of a war-torn Gaza with the caption: “Gaza 2025. What happens then?”
It is followed by AI-generated images of luxury cars, statues of Trump in gold, a “Trump Gaza” building and money falling on children from the sky. AI versions of Elon Musk and Benjamin Netanyahu are also seen in the clip.

Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement to resume the exchange of hundreds of imprisoned Palestinians and the remains of four Israeli hostages, the AP reports.
The prisoner exchange has been postponed since Saturday after Israel protested Hamas's "display" of hostages and coffins during previous transfers. Hamas calls it a "serious violation" of their ceasefire.
The bodies, which are expected to be handed over to Israel on Wednesday, are the last to be handed over under the agreement during the first phase of the ceasefire, which expires on Saturday.
