Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon have claimed at least 15 lives, Lebanon's health ministry said on Thursday.
At least two children were among the dead.
A Lebanese soldier died in Kfar Rumman in connection with a raid on a home, according to authorities in Lebanon. Several people in the house, who belonged to the same family as the soldier, were killed at the same time.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun criticized in sharp terms what he said were continued Israeli violations of the current ceasefire. Speaking to delegations from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Red Crescent, Aoun said that “the destruction of homes and sacred sites continues despite the ceasefire, and the number of dead and injured is rising every day.”
The ceasefire began on April 17.
