Merz: Trump humiliated by Iran

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz says the US lacks a “convincing strategy” and is “humiliated” by Iran.

The US entered the Iran war “without any strategy whatsoever” and it is therefore now difficult to find a way out of the conflict, the German leader emphasized in a panel discussion with students at a school in Marsberg in western Germany.

– Especially since the Iranians are obviously very skilled at negotiating. Or rather, very skilled at not negotiating, says Merz and adds:

– An entire nation is being humiliated by the Iranian leadership.

Merz hopes for an end to the war as soon as possible, but describes the situation as “quite complicated.”

“It costs us a lot of money. This conflict, this war against Iran, has a direct impact on our economic development.”
