Trump puts his face on American passports
In connection with the 250th anniversary of the United States, a limited edition American passport with Donald Trump's face will be printed, the State Department said according to several media outlets.
It is the first time ever that a living American president appears on the passport, which also includes his golden signature and a portrait of the founding fathers.
During his second term, Trump has begun to put his name and face on public institutions in a way that is historically unprecedented, writes AFP. Among other things, several government buildings have hung banners with his face. He has also renamed the Kennedy Center cultural center after himself, and soon his signature will appear on dollar bills.

Gala shooting in the USA
Trump friends rage at Obama in argument over motive
Allies of US President Donald Trump are criticizing former President Barack Obama after his comments about the shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, reports The Hill. Obama wrote on X that the motive behind the act was not yet fully known, while emphasizing the importance of "rejecting the idea that violence has any place in our democracy".
Republican profiles such as Mike Lee and Lee Zeldin believe that the motive is both obvious and political. Zeldin urges Obama to stop "playing ignorant about the motive".
The profiles refer to a manifesto that the suspected perpetrator Cole Allen published before the attack. In it, he points out members of the Trump administration as targets.
