Reports: Trump promises mass pardons
Donald Trump has promised to pardon people in his administration en masse before he leaves the White House, first-hand sources tell the Wall Street Journal.
- I will pardon anyone who has ever come within 60 meters of the Oval Office, he is said to have said recently during a meeting, which drew laughter.
The radius seems to be gradually expanding - according to a source who met Trump earlier this year, the president talked about pardoning anyone who came within three meters.
- The Wall Street Journal should learn to take a joke. However, the president's authority to pardon is absolute, says White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Trump's predecessor Joe Biden also pardoned a large number of people at the end of his term, including his son Hunter and former infectious disease control director Anthony Fauci.

New drone found in Finland – had undetonated warhead
A fourth crashed drone has been found in southern Finland, Finnish media reports. It had an undetonated warhead.
The drone was found shortly after 1 p.m. in Itis, after a person alerted the police.
The police have detonated the warhead under controlled conditions in cooperation with the defense, reports Hufvudstadsbladet.
According to the police, the drone is similar to those previously found in southeastern Finland. Three crashed drones were found at the end of March, all of which turned out to be from Ukraine. Ukraine has apologized and said that Russia is deliberately disrupting Ukrainian drones so that they can enter over Finland and the Baltics.

Pope Leo rages against warring nations: “Enough!”
Pope Leo XIV rages against leaders of warring nations in a speech in which he urges people in the world to “believe again in love, moderation and good politics.” This is reported by AFP.
In his speech, the relatively new pope says that faith is needed to face “this dramatic hour in world history” together.
– Enough with self-worship, and the worship of money! Enough with the show of force! Enough with war!
The Pope calls on world leaders to sit down and mediate through dialogue, rather than deciding on further attacks and escalation. He did not, however, mention any countries or leaders by name.
